    Homeland Counter-small Unmanned Aerial Systems

A quadcopter shows damage after being intercepted by a BioRes Counter-small Unmanned Aeriel System during Falcon Peak 26.2 at Yuma Proving Grounds, Ariz., on Sept. 7, 2026. The system physically disables drones by releasing a specialized net apparatus via radio signal, entangling the target's propellers causing mechanical failure without explosives or collateral damage. FP26.2 is North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command's Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems experiment designed to demonstrate new technologies, expand focus on Low Collateral Defeat capabilities, enhance collaboration with mission partners, and provide developers with immediate feedback to accelerate the maturation of innovative capabilities with Department of War-wide applicability.
