RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany — Capt. David Winter, executive officer at Dental Clinic Rheinland-Pfalz treading water during the Combat Water Survival training event on Aug 28 at the Ramstein Air Force Base Aquatics Center. The four-day Best Medic Competition is designed to push Soldiers to their physical and mental limits. In addition to the CWST, competitors were evaluated on the Expert Physical Fitness Assessment, Ruck march, day and night land navigation, weapons qualification and stress shoots with the M4A1 carbine, Tactical Combat Casualty care prolonged casualty care, aid station operations, and a comprehensive written examination.
