Drieslein, commanding officer of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, and Jonathan Mason, MCAS Cherry Point's Marine Corps Community Services director, prepare to sign a suicide prevention pledge at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, Sept. 4, 2026. Air station leadership signed the pledge as part of MCAS Cherry Point's Suicide Prevention Month efforts. This September, the Defense Suicide Prevention Office calls on every member of the Department of War to speak up, support one another, and take action.
