    A U.S. Green Beret assigned to 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), patrols through the dense jungle with Indonesian Nation Armed Forces, Special Forces and Reconnaissance Marines in South Sumatra, Indonesia, Aug. 31, 2026.. The jungle survival training provides U.S. Army Green Berets with essential survival skills, strengthening their ability to adapt to the Indo-Pacific's climate and jungle terrains.

    1st SFG(A) maintains highly lethal, rapidly deployable forces to execute the full spectrum of special operations alongside allies, partners, and the joint force as the preferred partner and premier special operations entity in the U.S. Pacific Command area of responsibility.
