U.S. Green Beret assigned to 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) and Soldiers from the the 11th Airborne Division line up to enter the dense jungle for jungle survival training in South Sumatra, Indonesia, Aug. 31, 2026. The jungle survival training provides U.S. servicemembers with essential survival skills, strengthening their ability to adapt to the Indo-Pacific's climate and jungle terrains.
1st SFG(A) maintains highly lethal, rapidly deployable forces to execute the full spectrum of special operations alongside allies, partners, and the joint force as the preferred partner and premier special operations entity in the U.S. Pacific Command area of responsibility.
