Pacific Partnership 2026 conducts facility renovations at Telipok Health Clinic in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

U.S. Navy Steelworker 2nd Class Brian Ewing, assigned to Amphibious Construction Battalion (ACB) 1, welds a stabilizing bracket to a support pillar as part of a Pacific Partnership 2026 engineering project to renovate facilities at the Telipok Health Clinic in Kota Kinabalu, Sept. 5, 2026. Renovations include the placement of concrete footers, metal tubing and tin roof sheeting in the construction of a 15-by-6-meter shade structure that will provide a covered waiting area for patients at the clinic, improving existing infrastructure and enhancing the quality of care. Now in its 22nd iteration, the Pacific Partnership series is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster management preparedness mission conducted in the region. Pacific Partnership works collaboratively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
