Pacific Partnership 2026 conducts facility renovations at Telipok Health Clinic in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

U.S. Navy Builder Constructionman Hung Vu, left, assigned to Amphibious Construction Battalion (ACB) 1, pours cement into a foundation mold as part of a Pacific Partnership 2026 engineering project to conduct a shade structure at the Telipok Health Clinic in Kota Kinabalu, Sept. 5, 2026. Renovations include the placement of concrete footers, metal tubing and tin roof sheeting in the construction of a 15-by-6-meter shade structure that will provide a covered waiting area for patients at the clinic, improving existing infrastructure and enhancing the quality of care. Now in its 22nd iteration, the Pacific Partnership series is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster management preparedness mission conducted in the region. Pacific Partnership works collaboratively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
