A military wheeled armored vehicle, consistent with a Stryker-type 8x8 armored personnel carrier, travels along a dirt road on what appears to be a U.S. military installation. The backdrop features a dramatic mountain range, a small town or base community, and open terrain under a clear blue sky. The setting is consistent with Fort Carson, Colorado, given the distinctive Cheyenne Mountain range visible in the background.

Soldiers assigned to the newly redesignated 3rd Stryker Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, began receiving Stryker vehicles at Fort Carson, Colorado, Sept. 2, marking a key milestone in the brigade’s transition to a Stryker formation.
From tracks to wheels, the Iron Brigade continues its legacy of readiness, adapting its formation to meet the Army’s evolving requirements. The vehicles will support hands-on training, platform familiarization, and leader development as Soldiers and leaders build a mobile and ready force. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Michael Knight)
