    The crew of the Reliance-class medium endurance cutter USCGC Vigorous (WMEC 627) conducts emergency towing operations for the disabled vessel American Eagle II off the coast of South Carolina, June 21, 2026. Vigorous’ crew later transferred the tow to the 87-foot Marine Protector-class cutter USCGC Coho (WPB 87321) where upon approaching Mayport, Florida, a final transfer was conducted with commercial salvage to tow the American Eagle II safely to shore.
