Lieutenant Colonel Coker is a native of West Columbia, SC. In 1997 he enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves. After boot camp, he reported to Delta Co. 8th Tank Bn. as an M1A1 tank crewman. He served as a driver, loader, gunner, and finally tank commander culminating his enlistment as a Sergeant.
He attended the University of South Carolina and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice in 2002. He received his commission as a Second Lieutenant upon completion of Officer Candidates School in March 2004. Second Lieutenant Coker completed The Basic School (TBS) and graduated TBS Charlie Company in October 2004. (Courtesy)
