A Japanese dog tag found on Hacksaw Ridge is displayed in the Battle of Okinawa Historical Society Museum on Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Aug. 28, 2026. The kanji on the dog-tag translated to Arta-Hiroshi, a name belonging to a Japanese solider. Marines assigned to the Marine Corps Installations Pacific Brig attended the tour to gain a deeper understanding of Okinawan history, culture, and the service members who served during the Pacific campaign of World War II.
