Green Berets assigned to 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) patrol the woods during a joint exercise with the U.S. Air Force as part of Red Flag near Delta Junction, Alaska, Aug. 17, 2026. The exercise provided special operations forces an opportunity to conduct discrete operations in a realistic training environment while integrating with joint force partners.
1st SFG(A) maintains highly lethal, rapidly deployable forces to execute the full spectrum of special operations alongside allies, partners, and the joint force as the preferred partner and premier special operations entity in the U.S. Pacific Command area of responsibility.
