    Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet

    U.S. Navy Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Fidel Santamaria, right, assigned to Arliegh Burke-class guided missile destroyer ship USS Paul Hamilton (DDG 60), is awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal by U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Joe Cahill, commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, while family looks on during a visit to the warship, Aug. 21, 2026. While aboard Paul Hamilton, Cahill spoke with command leadership and recognized Sailors for their excellent performance and team cohesion in keeping the warship battle-ready. Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet conducts regular visits to waterfront ships to ensure fleet commanders are provided with personnel, materiel and training required to project credible naval power at sea, ashore, at home and abroad.
