    NAVAL STATION NORFOLK, Va. (Aug. 24, 2026) – Capt. Bryan Carmichael, commodore of Naval Surface Group Middle Atlantic, presents the Battle Effectiveness (Battle “E”) award to Capt. Kathryn Wijnaldum, commanding officer the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), during a ceremony held aboard the warship.
