Abe Lincoln, councilperson, Iowa Nation, relates the history of the Grey Snow Eagle House, an eagle sanctuary and rehabilitation center owned and operated by the Iowa Nation during a tour of the aviary for representatives from the Tulsa District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Perkins, Okla., Aug. 28, 2026. The facility is licensed through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and rehabilitates injured bald and golden eagles, rehabilitate them and release them back into the wild. The facility also takes in bald and golden eagles from around the country that cannot be released back into the wild due to their injuries, and cares for them. Tulsa District representatives toured the aviary and met with Iowa Nation representatives to discuss the USACE Tribal Nations Program opportunities.
