    U.S. Airmen assigned to multiple Air National Guard (ANG) units across the U.S. participate in a simulated mass casualty exercise as they load simulated patients onto a U.S. Air Force C-130J Hercules aircraft during Patriot 26 at Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC), Wisconsin, Aug. 26, 2026. Patriot 26, an ANG-hosted exercise taking place at Volk Field CRTC, brings together approximately 1,000 Airmen and Soldiers from National Guard units across 35 states, along with federal, state and local agencies, to enhance domestic response readiness and interagency coordination during large-scale emergencies.
