    Aviation Ordnanceman Airman Jacob R. Miller, a Sailor assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), is awarded battling bastard of the week for his outstanding performance of duty while serving as Mag 5 team member onboard Bataan, on the ship’s mess decks, Aug. 28, 2026. Bataan is currently undergoing regularly scheduled maintenance in the General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) shipyard in Norfolk, Virginia.
