Electronics Technician 2nd Class Charles Vaughn, a Sailor assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), operates a fire pump during a hydrostatic hose test in the ship’s hanger bay to ensure shipboard firefighting equipment is mission ready, Aug. 28, 2026.
