A U.S. Army HH-60M Blackhawk helicopter assigned to the Georgia National Guard's Charlie Company 1-111th General Support Aviation Battalion takes off following a tail-to-tail transfer of simulated casualties at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, Aug. 26, 2026. Patriot 26, an Air National Guard-hosted exercise taking place at Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center, brings together approximately 1,000 Airmen and Soldiers from National Guard units across 35 states, along with federal, state and local agencies, to enhance domestic response readiness and interagency coordination during large-scale emergencies.
