A U.S. Air Force Airman assigned to the Georgia Air National Guard’s 165th Airlift Wing walks onto the ramp of a C-130J Super Hercules following a tail-to-tail transfer at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, Aug. 26, 2026. Patriot 26, an Air National Guard-hosted exercise taking place at Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center, brings together approximately 1,000 Airmen and Soldiers from National Guard units across 35 states, along with federal, state and local agencies, to enhance domestic response readiness and interagency coordination during large-scale emergencies.
