    A military utility terrain vehicle (UTV) is being offloaded from the rear cargo ramp of a large military transport aircraft, likely a C-130 Hercules or similar tactical airlifter. The operation is taking place on a tarmac airstrip in what appears to be a remote, arctic or subarctic environment, with rocky terrain and a body of water visible in the background.     Polar Activities

    A U.S. Green Beret assigned to the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) offloads a Polaris Razor (MRZR) Lightweight Tactical Vehicle from a U.S. Air Force C-130H Hercules aircraft on Aug. 22, 2026, as part of rapid infiltration procedures during Operation Polar Dagger in Gambell, Alaska. Polar Dagger is a demonstration of rapidly deployable joint U.S. Special Operations Forces to the Alaskan Arctic to refine a range of capabilities and response options to deter, disrupt, degrade, and deny competitor activity in the Arctic in support of U.S. Northern Command and layered defense of the homeland.
