    U.S. Soldiers with both, the Georgia and District of Columbia National Guard, assigned to Joint Task Force-District of Columbia in support of DC Safe and Beautiful mission, conducts the “front crawl” swim as part of a series of exercises relating to boat safety operations at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling in Washington, August 27th, 2026. About 3800 National Guard members are supporting the mission, providing critical assistance to the Metropolitan Police Department to help ensure the safety of residents, commuters, and visitors throughout the District.
