    The 39th Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. Eric M. Smith, readministers the oath of enlistment to Lance Cpl. Nathan Rodriguez, a chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense specialist, at Marine Corps Embassy Security Group Headquarters (MCESG HQ), Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, Aug. 25, 2026. Gen. Smith toured MCESG HQ to view and receive briefs on their training and operations, as well as to speak with the Marines, recognizing individuals for superior performance and answering their questions.
