REPI funding supports outplanting of the Kaua`i endemic and critically endangered, Cyanea Rivularis plant (shown above), as part of the ecosystem restoration project in west Kaua’i’s forest reserve. The U.S. Navy’s Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) secured $4.37mil in Fiscal Year 2026 funding through the Department of Defense's Readiness and Environmental Protection Integration (REPI) Program to expand ecosystem restoration, wildfire resilience, invasive wildlife predator programs and to improve watershed protection efforts that support military readiness and benefit surrounding West Kaua`i landscapes. PMRF is the world's largest instrumented multi-domain range, capable of supporting surface and sub-surface, air and space operations simultaneously.
