The Marine Corps Robotics Integration Group partnered with Public Works Department Division to begin construction on a new drone storage facility at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, Aug. 21, 2026. MCRIG advances the integration of small Unmanned Aerial Systems and counter-sUAS capabilities across the Marine Corps by developing training and curriculum, standardizing procedures and supporting the establishment of regional hubs; helping strengthen readiness and expand emerging capabilities across the force. The MCRIG integrates, standardizes and accelerates service-wide training, education, and curriculum development for tactical small unmanned aircraft systems and counter-sUAS capabilities to increase overall warfighting readiness.
