Military personnel in OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) uniforms are directing civilians onto or off of a CH-47 Chinook helicopter on a tarmac. The scene appears to be a boarding or orientation event, with soldiers gesturing to guide individuals toward the rear ramp of the aircraft. The overcast sky and open tarmac suggest an outdoor military airfield setting.

U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 59th Aviation Troop Command, South Carolina National Guard, and volunteers with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve program host the Upstate Boss Lift event at the Army Aviation Support Facility in Greenville, South Carolina, Aug. 20, 2026. The annual event provides civilian employers of South Carolina Guard members a firsthand look at military capabilities, featuring equipment displays of CH-47F Chinook, UH-60L Black Hawk and LUH-72B Lakota helicopters, as well as familiarization flights. U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Frank Rice, former commander of the 263rd Army Air and Missile Defense Command, and Col. Antonn Simmons, state Army aviation officer, welcomed the employers and expressed gratitude for their vital support. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. 1st Class Roberto Di Giovine)
