U.S. Coast Guard Port Security Unit 301 (PSU 301), U.S. Marine Reconnaissance personnel and Panamanian military forces participate in a maritime interdiction demonstration aboard a simulated non-compliant vessel during Distinguished Visitor Day for PANAMAX 2026 at Panama City, Panama, Aug. 13, 2026. The demonstration showcased the combined capabilities of U.S. and Panamanian forces while highlighting their interoperability, maritime security readiness and ability to respond to non-compliant vessels in support of regional security. PANAMAX 2026 seeks to improve interoperability and strengthen collective capacity to conduct complex multinational and all-domain operations to ensure free flow of commerce through the Panama Canal and maintain security and stability in the region.
