Two U.S. Coast Guard Transportable Port Security Boats (TPSBs) and a Panamanian Aeronaval vessel approach a simulated non-compliant vessel during a maritime interdiction demonstration as part of Distinguished Visitor Day for PANAMAX 2026 at Panama City, Panama, Aug. 13, 2026. The coordinated approach demonstrated the combined maritime capabilities of U.S. and Panamanian forces while highlighting their interoperability, operational readiness and ability to respond to maritime security threats. PANAMAX 2026 seeks to improve interoperability and strengthen collective capacity to conduct complex multinational and all-domain operations to ensure free flow of commerce through the Panama Canal and maintain security and stability in the region.
