U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Isaac Castillo, a loadmaster for a KC-130J Super Hercules assigned to the Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252, observes the refueling of a U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft assigned to the 303rd Fighter Squadron, Air Force Reserve Command, during a training sortie at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base, in St. Joseph, Missouri, August 13, 2026. The Marine aircrew was attending the Advanced Tactics Aircrew Course hosted by the Advanced Airlift Tactics Training Center. This was the first time that the joint refueling opportunity was integrated into a course sortie. Since 1983 the AATTC has provided advanced tactical training to airlift aircrews from the Air National Guard, AFRC, Air Mobility Command, Marine Corps and 17 allied nations.
