    FLEET ACTIVITIES YOKOSUKA, Japan (Aug. 18, 2026) – The Fiscal Year 2026 Captain Edward F. Ney Memorial Award is on display in the Commodore Matthew C. Perry General Mess onboard Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Aug. 18, 2026. The mess was selected as the winner in the Outside the Contiguous United States (OCONUS) General Mess category for food service excellence. Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
