Jon Hopkins, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), right, and installation mascot Yoko-Pon pose with students outside Ikego Elementary School on the first day of school, Aug. 17, 2026. Base leadership visited the campus to support returning families and underscore the installation’s partnership with Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA) schools.
