    IKEGO HILLS FAMILY HOUSING AREA, Japan (Aug. 17, 2026) - Yoko-Pon, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) mascot, greets students outside Ikego Elementary School on the first day of school, Aug. 17, 2026. The mascot joined installation leadership and school staff to kick off the new school year and welcome military-connected students back to campus. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
