The Famous-class medium endurance cutter USCGC Forward (WMEC 911) conducts a replenishment at sea with the Homeland Security Cutter-Ocean (HSC-Ocean) in the Caribbean Sea, July 28, 2026. During the evolution, the vessels tested the HSC Ocean’s ability to resupply and service large Coast Guard assets by transferring fuel, taking on food stores, and offloading trash. The Forward is the first 270-foot medium endurance cutter to ever complete this type of at-sea resupply evolution. (U.S. Coast Guard courtesy photo)
