Cadmium- and hexavalent chromium-free electrical connectors undergo corrosion testing to show they can be integrated into existing equipment without performance loss. U.S. Army DEVCOM Ground Vehicle Systems Center engineers are now in the final phase of testing the connectors, set to take place in August at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, where they will be placed on an Infantry Squad Vehicle—Utility (ISV-U) and evaluated for electrical performance while on a vehicle.
