Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division receive an operational and safety briefing from Forest Service crew bosses before heading into the burned area, on August 13, 2026, on the Modrite Fire near Inchelium, Wash.
