Alex Beylerian, a civil engineer assigned to the 101st Air Refueling Wing, Bangor Air National Guard Base, Maine, uses a compass to take a directional measurement as part of land navigation training during the Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force Region 1 Patriot Forge II field training exercise at Ft. Devens Army Reserve Training Area, Massachusetts, Aug. 12. Patriot Forge II brought together Airmen from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine to develop the skills multi-capable Airmen require in the modern combat environment. In addition to land navigation, the field training exercise, held Aug. 10-15, trainined Airmen in mounted and dismounted operations, and air base defense.
