    Two partner nation military service members conduct the initial movement into a building during Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) training at the Sherman military training area in Panama, Aug. 6, 2026. The training emphasized coordinated movement and communication in an urban environment while strengthening interoperability and enhancing regional readiness among participating forces. PANAMAX 2026 scenarios help the defense and public security forces of participating nations improve interoperability, hone their skills during scenarios involving coalition and all-domain operations, forge strong cooperative partnerships, and demonstrate their collective capacity to respond to and deter threats to the region and its critical waterways.
