Col. Anthony Smithhart, Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Mally, and Sgt. Tom Hook, all with the 734th Regional Support Group (RSG), Iowa Army National Guard, participates in a Transfer of Authority with the outgoing 510th RSG, 7th Mission Support Command, Army Reserve, on Aug. 13 2026, at Camp Kosciuszko in Poznań, Poland. Casing and uncasing the colors symbolize the formal transfer of responsibility between units. The outgoing unit cases its colors to mark the end of its mission, while the incoming unit uncases its colors to signify its arrival, authority, and readiness to assume the mission. The 734th RSG is deployed to Central Europe in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve under V Corps and will be carrying out base operating support - integrator functions across multiple locations.
