    U.S. Army firefighters with the 192nd Firefighting Detachment, 337th Engineer Battalion, Pennsylvania National Guard, repack hose lines for more efficient deployment during Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting evaluations at Northern Strike 26-2 at Camp Grayling, Michigan, Aug. 9, 2026. The live-fire training strengthens firefighters’ emergency response skills, teamwork and readiness to respond to aircraft incidents.

    Northern Strike is an Army sponsored, multi-component, multinational exercise designed to build readiness and enhance interoperability to fight and win. Northern Strike 26-2, Michigan’s largest and longest joint readiness exercise, is held from August 1 to 15, 2026 at the National All-Domain Warfighting Center.
