Capt. Miosotis Maldonado receives the Army Achievement Medal during an awards ceremony conducted by the 191st Regional Support Group during Annual Training at Camp Santiago Joint Training Center, Salinas, Puerto Rico, July 31, 2026. The award recognizes her outstanding contributions, professionalism and dedication to mission accomplishment and unit readiness. Military awards and recognition serve an important purpose beyond the presentation of a medal or certificate. They acknowledge individual and team accomplishments, reinforce Army values and recognize the sustained effort required to maintain mission readiness. By honoring Soldiers for their performance, the 191st RSG reinforces a culture of excellence, accountability and service.
The ceremony also provided an opportunity for leaders to publicly recognize the contributions of Soldiers and remind the formation that mission success is built on the commitment and performance of every member of the team.
Recognition strengthens morale, encourages continued excellence and highlights the professionalism of the Puerto Rico Army National Guard as Soldiers remain ready to respond to mission requirements at home and abroad.
