    DoW Support to National Interagency Fire Center

    A member of the Pacific Northwest Complex Incident Management Team 3 briefs firefighters on the plan for the day at the forward operating base near Inchelium, Wash., Aug. 10, 2026. Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division (Multi-Domain Command - Pacific) joined the firefighters on the Modrite Fire in eastern Washington. At the request of the National Multi-Agency Coordinating Group, located at the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, Idaho, U.S. Northern Command sent nearly 250 U.S. Army Soldiers from Joint Base Lewis-McChord to support the wildland fire ground response operation in the Pacific Northwest.
