    Members of the District of Columbia National Guard attend a Joint Town Hall at Joint Base Andrews, Md., Aug. 9, 2026. The Joint Town Hall, hosted by Brig. Gen. Leland D. Blanchard II, Commanding General (Interim) of the D.C. National Guard, provided the entire force an opportunity to hear directly from the organization’s senior leaders in a unified forum and receive updates on the Commanding General’s priorities and senior leaders’ lines of effort within their respective commands to meet his intent.
