    (WEST BRANCH, Iowa) Sailors and Soldiers play in the first Army vs. Navy Hoover-Ball expedition game as part of Hoover’s Hometown Days, Aug. 8, 2026. The Navy team’s win was a highlight of the annual August event that honors the town’s most famous citizen, President Herbert Hoover, during a town block party filled with history and family-friendly fun. This year’s celebration came two days after the grand reopening of the local Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum following a complete renovation.
