U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Lana Betancourt, an embarkation chief with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, controls an Overland ULTRA during Service Level Training Exercise (SLTE) 4-26 at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, Aug 7, 2026. The Overland ULTRA is a revolutionary autonomous, uncrewed ground vehicle built for the battlefield and designed to operate beyond line of site in contested environments. 2nd Marine Division is testing this asset for its capabilities to resupply Marines in austere environments using autonomous unmanned equipment. SLTE 4-26 is designed to be a challenging, realistic training environment that produces combat-ready forces capable of operating as an integrated Marine Air-Ground Task Force across all domains of military operations.
