CAMP JOSEPH T. ROBINSON, NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Brig. Gen. Chad Bridges, Arkansas’ adjutant general, adds the Governor’s Guard tab to the uniform of Arkansas Army National Guard Sgt. Mikal Benton, Joint Operations Center NCO, in a ceremony here Aug. 6, 2026. The general alongside A.J. Gary, Arkansas Department of Emergency Management director, presented 20 Soldiers with the tab, recognizing they’ve demonstrated the knowledge, professionalism, and commitment required to support Arkansas communities when they need it most. Representatives from the Arkansas State Police, the Governor's office, and partner agencies joined the ceremony, highlighting the strong relationships that enable Arkansas' emergency response team to help protect lives and communities across the state when disaster strikes.
