    Rear Adm. Kevin M. Quinn, left, takes temporary command of Naval Surface Forces as he salutes retiring Vice Adm. Terrance T. Etnyre during a change of command ceremony aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer. Etnyre relinquished command to Quinn, pending senate confirmation of Vice Adm. Derwood C. Curtis. Etnyre, who completed a 36 month tour as surface forces commander, was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal for his leadership for manning, training and equipping more than 160 ships for combat operations.
