During a severe flash flood event on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, more than 7 inches of rain fell in parts of Upshur County, West Virginia, with general totals ranging from 5 to 7 inches recorded around Buckhannon and an intense rate of 4.5 inches falling in just 37 minutes.
