U.S. Air Force Senior Airmen Curtis Gilpin, a 285th Civil Engineering Squadron structures Airmen, practices Shielded Metal Arc Cutting during annual training at Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Arkansas, in July 2026. Through hands-on welding instruction, the visiting Airmen sharpened their technical skills to maintain unit mission readiness. The 188th CES plays a vital role in Total Force Integration by training service members from across the force at Ebbing’s Civil Engineer Regional Training Site.
