    The West Virginia National Guard’s 249th Army Band performs at the 2026 National Scout Jamboree, held at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in Glen Jean, West Virginia, July 26, 2026. The National Scout Jamboree is Scouting America’s premier event held every four years in the hills of Southern West Virginia adjacent to the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. The event, whose 2026 theme is “Elevate”, experienced more than 10,000 Scouts, leaders, staff and volunteers from across the United States attend the 10-day “Jambo” gathering to enjoy top-tier outdoor adventures including white water rafting, rock climbing, mountain biking, and more.
