Master Sgt. Jesse Bleed (right), chaplain section operations noncommissioned officer in charge, 88th Readiness Division, is presented the Staff Sgt. Christopher Stout Medal by retired Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Russell Bacon at Fort Snelling, Minn., July 23, 2026, for his efforts in establishing the Army Reserve Chaplain Battle-Focused Training (ARC-BFT) program. ARC-BFT prepares unit ministry teams, consisting of chaplains and religious affairs specialists, for large-scale combat operations through immersive field exercises. Since its inception, the program has been adopted by chaplain teams throughout the Army Reserve and is now considered standard training for Army Reserve chaplains and religious affairs specialists.
